"We loved you so much that we were happy to share with you God's good news. We were also happy to share our lives with you. You had become very special to us." 1 Thessalonians 2:8

Everybody longs to belong. Everyone wants to love and be loved. We all need to be needed. This is how God has wired us. This is also how we grow in Christ-likeness. There is no growth outside of relationships.
The Life Group ministry takes this into account in delivering three essential elements: discipleship, fellowship and pastoral care.
Discipleship is fostered in Life Groups through combining the application of scripture with deep, authentic relationships. The saying: “truth is more often caught than taught” is true of spiritual growth. Truth-catching happens in relationships. The disciple-making ministry that Jesus modeled was a combination of his teaching and his relationship with the twelve.
Secondly, Life Groups are a vehicle for fellowship. This is more than idle chitchat while coffee and brownies are being served. Fellowship is defined as believers doing life together. This is the “the need to love, and be loved” component.
Thirdly, Life Groups allows for every member to be loved, prayed for, led, and cared for by a person possessing a shepherd's heart. This third component is referred to as pastoral care. Unfortunately, this term is often misunderstood. This misunderstanding is the result of confusing the office of the pastor, with that of the gift of having a pastor's (shepherd's) heart. There are many people in our congregation to whom God has given a shepherd's heart. Thus, the GroupLife ministry allows God's people to be loved, served and cared for on a smaller ratio—the same ratio Jesus used in His small group.
Everyone is encouraged to join a Life Group for life !!
